J. Alexander's opens at the Rialto; other tenants expected to join soon

J. Alexander's, a Nashville, Tenn.-based full-service restaurant chain, has opened its first Orlando location in the Rialto, a mixed-use development at Sand Lake Road and Interstate 4.

"Rialto and the Dr. Phillips area align perfectly with J. Alexander's desire to open in upscale, affluent markets," Andrew T. LaGrega, a principal of The Wilder Cos., developer of Rialto, said in a news release. "The restaurant complements the area's mix of fine dining and outstanding cuisine."

J. Alexander's serves American fare in a contemporary setting. The chain has six other locations in Florida.

Other restaurants expected to open in the 350,000-square-foot center include Bar Louie, a restaurant and bar with an "urban feel"; and Ocean Prime, an upscale American-style supper club developed by restaurateur Cameron Mitchell. Bar Louie is expected to open in early October, Ocean Prime sometime this fall.

The developers of the Rialto said other tenants opening soon include Sadler's Fine Clothiers, Put a Cork In It, Bento Café and Flippers Pizza.
