J. Alexander’s introduces new concept to Orlando market

Rialto brings new restaurants and retail to Dr. Phillips area

ORLANDO, FL (Sept. 23, 2008) – Restaurant Row has added a new concept that will make decisions on where to eat much more difficult. J. Alexander’s opened in Rialto, a new urban mixed-use development located at the intersection of Sand Lake Road and I-4.

J. Alexander’s is a contemporary American restaurant well known for its award-winning prime rib of beef and baby back ribs, as well as its outstanding desserts made from scratch. The restaurant was formed in 1971 by three Nashville businessmen and is now a publicly owned and traded corporation.

“Rialto and the Dr. Phillips area align perfectly with J. Alexander’s desire to open in upscale, affluent markets,” said Andrew T. LaGrega, a principal of The Wilder Companies, developer of Rialto. “The restaurant complements the area’s mix of fine dining and outstanding cuisine.”

The concept uses a variety of architectural designs, building finishes and original artwork, providing guests with one of the most attractive environments in the restaurant industry. The menu also features hardwood-grilled steaks, salmon, daily fresh seafood selections, soups, entrée salads, burgers and sandwiches, and a wide selection of fine American wines available by the glass and bottle.

Also coming this Fall to Rialto are two additional restaurants; Bar Louie, slated to open in early October, is a fun, hip neighborhood restaurant and bar with an urban feel serving a full lunch and dinner menu, jumbo martinis, microbrews and an extensive wine list, by the bottle and glass. Ocean Prime is a ''modern American supper club'' featuring fresh seafood, steaks, and handcrafted cocktails. A Cameron Mitchell restaurant, Ocean Prime’s swanky vibe mixes contemporary sensibilities with the grand old days of a prime supper club.

Rounding out the openings are Sadler’s Fine Clothiers, Put a Cork In It, Bento Café and Flippers Pizza.
