The Wilder Companies Awarded Garden City Shopping Center, RI Leasing and Management Contract

Boston (July 20, 2009)—The Wilder Companies, the national retail real estate leasing, management and development firm, has been awarded the leasing and management contract for Garden City Center, Rhode Island’s premiere lifestyle shopping center. The contract was awarded by TA Associates Realty of Boston, one of the largest privately held real estate advisors in the United States.

Located in Cranston, Garden City Center is centrally located to serve all Rhode Island shoppers including Providence and Warwick. It is 552,000 sf with 480,000 sf of retail and 72,000 sf of office space. There are 55 shops, services and eateries featuring Talbots, Chico’s, Coldwater Creek, Cohoes, Williams-Sonoma, Borders and Whole Foods. Making it a unique destination is the addition of many local merchants including designer clothier MEL & Me, Ltd., shoe store F. Bianco, Mediterranean bistro Café Luna, and the ever popular Newport Creamery. Other merchants include Jos. A. Bank, Banana Republic, EMS, Papa Razzi and Starbucks.
